What do you get?

With your hosting plan, you'll receive unmetered resources, to allow you to do what you need with your site without worry. Each hosting account also allows access to Softaculous, an installation option that currently offers almost 200 different applications that can be installed with one click. Blogs, photo albums, mailing lists, and content management systems are just a sampling of what can be installed without any particular programming knowledge (and no uploading required). In addition, you'll also receive our true 24/7 technical support, ready to answer any questions you may have. If you already have an established site, we can even move it to our servers for you, to save you the time and effort involved in completely reuploading your site.

What's the cost?

Just $8 US per month under the summer special offer currently running through ~~October 31, 2011~~ November 30, 2011 (extended!) with discounts for quarterly, semiannual, annual, and bienniel contracts.

What's the catch?

That's the beauty of it: there isn't one, beyond this special being for a limited time and for new accounts only. Sure, we have our Terms and Conditions that cover common sense usage, but that's all there is to it. The price and plan are locked in and won't change for your account (unless something really awesome happens and you end up requiring a dedicated server!). We'll be on hand to assist you when you need us, and be invisible when you don't.

Why not call it unlimited?

As our existing clients can tell you, we like to be precise about what we're offering, to ensure our clients have all the information they need to be successful and in control of their sites. While we place no particular limits on the resources that can be used, there is no such thing as (for instance) an unlimited disk drive. Since we prefer to be as plain as possible, we call it unmetered space as it isn't actively bound by any setting on the server except the total capacity of the server. In addition, we've transferred in far too many sites for clients from "unlimited" hosts only to find that there were in fact limits in place, whether explicitly defined or discovered after the fact by the client. We prefer to be much more direct.

Can you help me transfer my site? My domain? Are there fees for these services?

Of course we can! It's actually one of the hallmarks of our service here that we go above and beyond in order to get clients situated and then about their business with as little fuss as possible. If the current host is using cPanel as the control panel, we can usually do a server to server transfer, depending on the load and responsiveness of the remote server. If that is not possible, or if the site is at a host using a different control panel, we can and will manually transfer your site to our network. There may be manual recreation of certain items required, such as mailboxes, when the transfer is done from a host using different systems than ours. We charge no fees for transferring sites into the network or reconfiguring them if that is required for purposes of paths, usernames in scripts, and so on.

We can also transfer domains into our management queues as well. We currently have partnerships with four different registrars, so that virtually any domain extension can be transferred. The transfer fee varies based on the domain extension, but the most common extension types (.com, .net, .org, and others) carry a $12 transfer fee. Other domain extensions, including country code specific extensions, are invoiced at various rates depending on what the registrar sets. Transfers also extend the registration period by a year beyond the current period. Subsequent renewals are invoiced at the standard rates, which can be viewed on our Domains page. Please note that domains must be unlocked at the current registrar before they can be transferred, and the transfer request must include the authorization code or equivalent, which can be obtained from the current registrar when the lock status is verified to be off.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), Paypal (either manually processed, or via subscription), and check/money order. All invoicing is done in US Dollars only, and payment must be in US Dollars as well.
